In person Action at NC DEQ in Raleigh

At noon on Tuesday June 30, The NC DEQ Advisory Board on Environmental Justice and Equity is issuing its recommendations about the ACP to DEQ Secretary Ragen. As you know various environmental groups in NC have for the last two years have been feeding the Board information about the ACP and encouraging the Board to support revocation of DEQ’s 401 water Quality permit.
A few of us plan to show up in person with banners outside DEQ offices as the Advisory Board brings its recommendations to the Secretary. Many others will be on a webinar. The street actions outside DEQ will be live-streamed to the webinar and to DEQ officials.
If possible we would like a few other activists to join us at DEQ. We plan to be very careful about social distancing and masks. Please consider joining us.Some of us will be arriving about 11 am to set up.
